Does anyone know of a GPS mount that locks?
I'm a tad concerned about have my $900 unit "walk away".
I currently use a standard RAM mount.

I only know of one good one, found Here (http://www.touratech-usa.com/shop/navigation.lasso?SubCat=GPS_Mounts&-session=touratech:C43F458A8ABCCB4777E3448E893EC19F )
Pricey, but I've never heard anyone complain about the quality. :)
I'm using the Touratech locking mount for the Garmin 2610. I recall it was around $110. Nice construction. Keeps the honest people, honest.

GOOD GOD!
This looks like something they used on my last root canal!
I was just looking for a more secure RAM type mount.
Does NASA know about these?

The Garmin cradle for the 26xx and 27xx series has a torx security screw and a special screwdriver to lock the GPS in to the cradle. Combine it with the RAM locking knob, or even just a plain hex bolt, on a RAM arm, or some other solidly attached mount, and you'll have enough security for rest stops, meals, etc. I'd still take the unit inside with me at night, or if leaving it parked on the street for a long time.

Here's one of the RAM knobs in use. Works very well, and the size and position of my GPS makes it almost impossible to unscrew the whole assembly from either the GPS or the MCL center cover.

Nothing beats a touratech. The german engineers made a fine product.
That's great NCSAM,
A $350 gps housing w/optional thumb screw for only a $1 more.
Hell throw the screw in on the deal !
That just strikes me as funny.
