About two weeks ago I recieved my GX Sport textile jacket from New Enough along with a set of First Gear HT overpants.
So far I'm well pleased; the fit is good, there are pockets everywhere, even one on the left sleeve and a cell phone pocket on the inside. It has 6 vents for armer weather which I haven't tried out yet. The armor is GP style plastic over foam I've worn it in temps down to 28, but I added an extra liner at those tems. Today it was about 48 and the jacket kept me warm at 70mph (honest officer, thats what the speedo read).
The HT pants are an excellent match, however I followed Paul's advice and upgraded the knee armor to the FG Core-Comp type. I got the same size in thses as I normally wear in pants, and they fit perfectly over my jeans or work pants. There's also a removeable liner for warmer days. The pants were on closeout for $119 I believe and the armor was an extra $18. Well worth it to me.
The jacket was $119 as well. I was asked why I didn't get a FG jacket to match. New Enough didn't have any FG stuff in the BRIGHT YELLOW I prefer. Yeah, I've had at least one person say I look like a bumble bee. I figure with all this armor on, I can live up to Yukon Cornelius who said "Bumbles bounce." (showing my age, I know);)
The price was good and the service excellent from New Enough. I'll be back for a Cortech mesh and gloves soon.
