I am sure this has been addressed a bajilion times, sorry, I have to ask. I did an oil change on wifes ST today. I added the exact amount the ST tech manual said to add. However, the glass "eye" on the engine block tells me I am over the top line. Is this ok? Have I overfilled? What is the proper level?Any scoop would be appreciated.
Thanks
Dave

No problem, Dave. It's in the owner's manual about the exact procedure to check the oil. It's more than just looking at the glass. It involves running the engine for a set time, I think it's like 3 minutes, then let the bike sit for like 1 minute, then look at the glass. I'm not positive about my times, so read the manual.
When cold, my oil level usually sits right on the top-limit line. After warming it up, shutting down, and waiting 2 minutes, it ususally sits about right.
