Valve Shim Kits - TechSTOCs ??

Just curious - the email list has a kit that is mailed back and forth to members doing valve check/adjustments.

Would it be advantageous to do something like that here - maybe mailing the kit to the TechSTOCs?

To me, that sounds like an awesome idea. If would have made my valve clearance adjustment easier if I had the shim on hand.

We could start a thread here that where the only posts in the thread are....I have the kit. Then if you need the kit you PM the guy with the kit and update the thread with "It's on it's way to me". Then when you get it you post "I have the kit". I think that way everyone would always know where the kit is. Keeping it stocked with all shims is another issue though.

Or it could be sent only to TechSTOC events. That might get some of these other guys to attend, too. After the event, the event host restocks the kit and sends it on.

The only problem I can see with that idea is then the kit needs to be shipped twice per valve clearance check. And, you might not even need a shim.

I will be a co-funder and manage or co-manage the kit. Details to be worked out later among the funders as to the user fee, etc.:)
