I'm aware of the MCCruise and Audiovox... are there any others?

Which one is easiest to install? Price is secondary to me over ease of installation and functionality.

Bite the bullet, and buy the MCCruise. It works great. Installation is straightforward. You'll swear at the mechanical interface box a couple times during assembly, but once you get it right, it works. Expensive, but by far the easiest to install. I was fortunate to find a used MCCruise, but they are rare.

Many have done the Audiovox and other auto systems. They can work, but some engineering is required to connect to the throttle. Doesn't sound like your original request.

Thanks. I haven't made up my mind yet. I hate to spend $600 or whatever on a cruise control but I don't like doing the kind of work that would be involved with the Audiovox.

One thing that I don't like about the MCCruise is the lack of an indicator showing it's on (unless I'm just not seeing it). I guess it's not really necessary and I'll learn to live without it.

It's really surprising to me that there aren't more offerings. Seems like a lot of room between the $100 Audiovox and the $600 MCCruise for competition.

Audiovox install is not a big deal at all once you get it sorted. I picked mine up at an Autozone on closeout (as did many others for under $30) for $13.99. Cruise works great and $13.99 is a long way from $600. That is enough price difference to buy a set of tires and a few great farkles

Here are some pics of my insall - shoot an email / PM if you have any questions, I'd be glad to help.

You were so right about the CIU (cable interface unit). It was rough. But as you said, it works. Pretty clever unit actually.
