My question is - is there a safe way to change lanes from the black top phase to the non paved area when there is a 1 inch rise between the lanes - just looking at it didn't look safe for cyclist.
Married with two wonderful babies, working on 2 decades in the Air Guard out of Wichita and a Yorkrite Mason. I haven't had a bike in almost 4 years, but I'm in the process of acquiring a family friend's '94 (I think) ST1100A with 17k miles. Thought I'd subscribe because its always nice to meet nice new people and to have a source for tech info for new projects/toys that I acquire as I like to do my own wrenching!

Hi,

The paint on my 1991 ST1100 looks good for its age, the Gray panels by the front pegs have faded, as well as the handle of the panniers. I have tried ArmorAll, Flitz polishing paste, but the dullness remains.

Any suggestions?

Honda ST-1100 had not ran for 5 years. I installed a new battery. I trailered the St-1100 to the local shop and had the oil changed and the carb's rebuilt. I had then original tires replaced even though they looked like new. Front tires are Bridgestone Sports Touring 110/80 ZR18/C. Rear tires are Bridgestone Sports Touring 160/70 ZR17/C.
Honda ST-1100 is red with hard saddle bags. Honda ST-1100 currently has 6272 miles.
I am located 25 miles south of the Akron/Canton airport and would offer fly and ride for out of Towner.
Asking $5,500.00 or OBO.
PM me with any questions

I've got these on all three of my ST1100s, wired exactly the same. All three have been working fine until the ones on Frost started blowing a fuse. I have verified there are no broken or bare wires in all of the circuits, I have replaced the relays that I use to fire them, I have separated the grips and tested each side. I've even moved the wire coming out of the fuseblock to another terminal just to eliminate that as an option. They just work for a while and then blow the fuse. I've tried up to a 20 amp which is way more than they should need. Any ideas?

Hey all,Some new gear and I can leave my daughter's bike alone and enjoy my own. I've had a bike since I was old enough to drive and rode a lot on the 80's but not much since. Have had a few good rides in the last few years on my daughter's 76 xs500 and finally broke down and bought my own bike when I discovered the ST1100. I'm 54 now.I'd looked at a lot of different bikes, but couldn't see myself with what I was looking at until I saw the ST1100. I've been looking at bikes for myself for four years and finally found one I really liked. I'm excited to own this one. It's got 147,000 km on it and it's been well maintained. I can't say as I'm expecting much trouble. I've put three tanks of fuel through it in the last few weeks and I'm not disappointed at all. In fact I'm thrilled with my purchase. I've yet to back off the rear suspension as it's set up for a load and there is a new rear tire on the way as this one is getting down to spec. My daughter got a little chilled out for a test drive and dumped it on the grass in the yard turning around so I've got a left mirror pod on the way too. Kids... ;)I have a lot to learn and this looks like a great place to continue that learning curve. Thanks in advance.Ian

Just got to have my tunes from Pandora on my daily commute.
4" speakers mounted behind the grills on the dash
Sony stereo head unit with waterproof housing
(tried making the unit water repellent by sprayed several coat of PlastiDip on the underside of the unit. Although it doesn't rain too much here in SoCal)
RAM mount 5.25" arm

Had my buddy's car stereo shop ran the wiring, he also pre-wired 2 speaker wires by the rear seat for adding speakers (if need be) in the future.

Have had over 100 miles on it so far, the RAM mount held up the unit without any issue. Love it!
Any info or tips on must-haves would be great since I've been removed from the ST world for a while and what is available. Thanks!

I ordered a new PR 3 front tire a few days ago and have not had any form of communication from them and my CC has been charged. All phone numbers (which I had to do a google search to find) I have called are answered as having been disconnected or not in use. I have sent emails through their site asking them but none have been replied to as yet. I will dispute the CC charges with my company if I have to but would like to hear from folks if they have had any recent experiences from these guys. Thanks.
