We'll I did not make it to NatSTOC this year but decided to go out for a ride around some good roads. I covered 7255 miles in 15 days through California, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, and Montana.

Here are a few pictures of my trip as instructed to do!

Looks like a really great trip Mike. Now, I gotta ask... what's with all the gear spread out on the road? It's too organized to be a wreck! ;)

We were stuck in a one hour road construction wait, and we had packed our camping gear away wet so this made a great way to kill two birds with one stone.

Nice pics! Thanks for sharing. I hope to get out west next year. A new knee this year has killed my riding so far this year. Now I'm ready for some more comfortable temps.

Nice pictures. Thanks.

Did you notice the guy standing in front of the Buffalo Bill Center looking at your bike? He was probably with his wife and other friends and I suspect he was thinking: "Lucky *******s. I sure wish I could be riding with them". He is right. We ARE the lucky ones!

Looks like a bit of stealth camping? How the heck do you find/pick a spot? I think about it but can never pull the trigger.
Nice photos.

That is the same thing I think about sometimes also. I mostly look for a road that goes off the main road and most times I can find a spot somewhere. Forest service roads are the best. When I travel I have no idea where I will be staying as I have no firm plans on where I am going or what roads I will be on. When it gets late in the afternoon I try to head for the hills and that seems to work the best for me.

Sounds like an excellent trip Mike! Thanks for sharing the pics!

Three weeks from tomorrow, I'll be on the road and can hardly wait. These pictures make me even more excited!
