Around the Forggensee on a sunny Saurday.

Such a lovely day today it would be a crime to waste it. So it was time to kick the tires and light the fires. I headed south along the bendy-wendy-curvy-wurvy back roads of south Bavaria. I wanted to see what the situation was like on the border to Austria. It is so strange to see a closed border with police and roadblocks, but as the policeman said: "It´s a sign of the time and we have to live with it" I wished him well and carried on around the Forggensee. Empty at this time of the year and looking like it had travelled straight out of the iceage.

Snnnnowww? That´s that white stuff we had for a few days before it turned to water. Actually it´s been a strange winter so far, snow by the oodle up north where they know snow only from pictures and here in the southern boonies almost nothing. But even then by end of January most of it is gone, having said that it is not uncommon to be picking easter eggs out of snow.
