I was able to get the Utah plates for the 2010 :bl13:.

Just a couple of blocks from where the DMV is at, is Highway 14, going east. So I decided I needs to take a little ride up the highway. :)

These pictures were about 20 miles East of Cedar City.

This first picture, taken @ about 9,200 ft, is looking back to the Southwest, towards ZION NP. Note the snow. It was about 56F there.

Same spot, looking back towards Cedar City.

At this point I turned around and headed back. After gassing up, I got home around 4PM. :thumb:

Nice scenery ...

We can get our stickers online ...
Thanks!

I had to register it for Utah, from California. That required a visit. I've done my truck, SUV and 2012 :bk13: already. I will still need to register the trailers sooner or later. That will require a visit also. But that's okay. Going to the DMV office in Cedar City was easy compared to the DMV in Kaliforniastan! :thumb:

That's the bluest 2010 I ever did see... :)

Glad you got the VIN issue sorted, and that you are exploring the confines of your new digs.

Sure looks different than that Cali concrete flattop in your old videos.

Glad you got it sorted and got some seat time!

Yea Bob, you need to check the UDOT web cams before you go up on the mountain. It can be clear roads down in town, and snow covered roads on the mountain. I know you went up the day after the snow melted off from the storm we just had, but it is still a good idea to check.

This was last year in April. We had rain in town the day before, this is what it was like on the mountain. This guy did not check the road conditions! He was on a BMW 1600. I was taking my snowmobile up for a spring ride. 14 to 89 and then back through Zion is a nice loop ride to take.

Hey Dan,

I wasn't worried, if I would have hit snow, I would have just turned around. I've been up 14 once, before we moved up here, so I pretty knew what to expect and since it was as warm as it was, I figured I could get to that view area that I stopped at. :)

When I retired, I went with another guy to see the five National Parks in Utah. Along the way, we passed along on Utah 14, and rode the Hogback.

I'd like to go back. When we went through the wind was blowing incredibly hard. I stopped for a minute or so to try adjusting something. I realized the wind was going to blow me over unless I got moving again. The views went on and on, and the road as you can see is one twisty curve after another.

I think you are thinking of Hwy 12, between Bryce Canyon and Torrey Utah.

And yes, I've been both ways on it, during separate trips!
