Have I told you how much I love Riding Colorado?

So have you moved back to Castle Rock and gave up the nomad lifestyle?

Oh No. We just stopped for a few weeks. I added a bunch of solar stuff to the RV so we can spend more time off grid in out of the way places. We head out Friday for Orofino Idaho for a 3 month stay up there at Dworshak Reservoir. And then who knows where, Washington and Oregon for sure in August and then maybe toward Boston to see our oldest son and daughter in law.

Oooooooooooooooooooooh!
Look at you!!!
I wuz gonna ask, if they "baked" BRATWURST at this German bakery. YUM!
Our most authentic Jewish / German deli went into retirement, leaving me with a big dark hole that I used to fill with high-quality, real bratwurst.
You retired? Really?!
HOW DARE YOU!

I'm surprised at 60 degrees, there's no water on the roads in your pictures.
No snowmelt?
What is this, climate change? :rofl1:

With Humidity at 13% the melt off evaporates very quick. Yes there was some melt off on the roads but not very much today.

With so many bikes, how do you decide what to ride? Serious question. Just whatever strikes your fancy on a given day?

Yesterday I took the little Versys out for a 130 mile ride down to Deckers and then looped around along the North Fork of the South Platte River. Have not visited the South Platte Hotel in a while. Nice easy cool ride away from all the City hussel and bussle. Took a few pictures along the way. Also posted the route via Google Maps.

Nice ride along, Chuck. FYI, some of your pictures didn’t post. Just text of the file name showing. [IOS Safari, I’ll try the PC later]

I have found that, ever since the site upgrade a while back, that this happens with threads that have a lot of pictures in them. If I refresh, sometimes multiple times, the pictures will come up. That is what happened with these pictures, I refreshed and they appeared.

I'll wager that that South Platte Hotel has real cheap rates.

@ChucksKLRST your scenery just absolutely sucks bilge water.
If I were you, I would simply export it to some other place.
We'll see if we can make some room for it, here in Alabama. But you can keep the wintery precipitation, OK?
Yea I spent some time at Red Stone Arsenal, Huntsville. Not alot of fun in the summer of 1969.....to Hot

If you r ever in pagosa springs, stop in the neon mallard for a cocktail. My kids own a chunk of it. They invent yuppy drinks. There is also a motel there called the nightingale.
Make sure u tell them u know me.

Use to stay there when it was called The Pinewood Inn. Havent been thru there since it was sold and renovated. Really enjoyed sitting on the Deck of the Kips Grill, next door.

Ate at kips just the other day. Love the poppers. Tes, the nightingale was totally renovated, as was the bar. Very nice. Just watch out for the margaritas

The weather in the City was going to be a bit warm, so I took ride into the Foothills to get away from the heat on Friday. Don't do much riding on weekends any more as all the City Fools have discovered my favorite foot hill routes. The ride was a short 3 and a half hour, 160 miles or so. Haven't been on some of those roads in a while. The Wee Strom got the call for this one. Of course, did my picture thing. Enjoy.
