yesterday it was about 70f with a very cloudy sky, looked like it would just poor down raining any second. i wanted to go visit my mom, something i couldn't do last weekend because of my foot. i made sure i had a waterproof jacket liner and some gloves more suited to rain just incase. as i was heading north from home i thought i would get a pic of the Mighty ST 1300 with an old mural. i took Chicago st. east to get the pic but was sad to see that the mural was gone so i stopped for the church and the fire station 20210620_091946.jpg20210620_092010.jpg20210620_092229.jpg

to save a little time i jumped on i-96 and took it over to i-75 then picked up m-3 going north. i decided to take Vernor st. over to Mc. Cellan, took that over to Jefferson and stopped at my sister's to drop off some mask for her. after leaving there i made a stop at yellow bag and lipton peach tea for mom. had a good visit with mom, gave her the peach tea and her allowance before leaving. it was still pretty cloudy so i swung around the corner and made a stop at A.B. leaving the park i rode back to Jefferson ave. and passed through the points, and St. Clair, MI before heading east on i-94. i took m-59 west passing through mount clemons, utica, and romeo plank, mi. i exited m-59 at rochester rd / m-150 and made a stop at the post office 20210620_123124.jpg20210620_123125.jpg

after that i took m-150 up to tienken rd. and made a left turn and rode tieken to squirell rd. to dutton and dutton rd. over to m-24. well the sun finally came from behind the clouds, the temp gage on the Mighty ST was showing 88f. i couldn't find the post office in lake orion and decided to head up to lapeer, mi. once there i found the post office in a bad spot for a pic so i did an about face and made a stop at the dealer just for a pic 20210620_133841.jpg

i stayed on m-24 and headed for pontiac, mi. then picked up the loop and took it around to m-1 and headed south back to detroit. i made one last stop in highland park, mi. for this mural, made a stop at the grocery store before getting to the house. 156 miles and unlike the Smith brother's ride i had no foot problems, note to self. wear the old boots not the new ones 20210620_150453.jpg

Is the 3 gallon tank plumbed into the regular tank? Sure looks handy and must increase your range to maybe 400 miles or more?.

Thanks for posting the beautiful pictures. That's a lovely part of the country that I've not visited in a long while (I should do something about that).
yes it is plumbed into the regular gas tank, there is a petcock to control the flow
