Day 12, left Marinette, Wi looking for a church service but it didn’t happen, wound our way around Green Bay on to Oshkosh met a nice guy working at a landmark drive inn Rocky ! Gave us free stickers for our bikes. Headed into the heavy woods near the lake lead bike Greg had 3 dear say hi to him as they ran in front across the road about 50ft ahead. Rest of the day brought warmer temps as we arrived at the Rock Island, Iowa KOA. Spagetti and meatball dinner with soft ice cream for desert. Low tonight is 68 ha!

Yes it’s HOT! Probably arrive on the 14th probably volunteer to help do whatever, definitely going to find Top Gun Maverick while there! Ride safe!

Day 14, left Rock Island, Iowa 8am headed for high temps 100+ probably 90’s with wind chill but the Sonic stop outside Jefferson City, Mo brought 100+ with a high south headwind all day. In a KOA near the Lake of the O’Zarks! Another low lying mosquito and tick area.. way to much rain this year. Heading into Springfield hopefully to camp a day early. Will see?
that wasn't a Harley event you passed through that was the second Mackinaw rally, if i would have been feeling better i would have met up with you in TC and rode across the Big Mac with you, i have always enjoyed my time i Sault STE Marie

Day 15, arrived here in Springfield Missouri at the BMOA national got the campsite set up, headwind was terrible today only had to ride two hours so that was OK now just volunteered going to have dinner at six and relax event starts tomorrow lots of people already here God bless

Well the party is over back on the road in the am, hot and hotter! Destination is Council Bluff, Iowa Marriott ha! Good nite from Springfield, Mo that’s Randy and son Brody from Lake Charles, La our neighbors, shared dinner at Olive Garden and Ken from Wichita, Ks El Dorado 72’ 800 and my only purchase a pair of deer gloves!

Day 19,20, pulled into Council Bluffs, Iowa where the Marriott was full with College World Series! Headed out at 6am anticipating
lots of SW cross winds today heading to Valentine, Neb. City campground $5 a nite. Not much to see today just long roads with farming.

Day 21, arrived Spearfish, SD today after a fairly short run, 370 mi 5hrs. Left Valentin, Neb City park which was very transient did not sleep all that much had a experience with a storm and I think a nosy raccoon ha!
The next couple of days I plan to work on my bike and get it ready for the home run. Here is my link of my travel blog look forward to lunch when I get back!

Day 24, last day of the rally some leaving today to beat the rain forecasted. Temps cooling with the feel of rain. I ended up purchasing a newer used ride while here in Spearfish. The Tiger served me well but was beginning to show its age, we will see what riding in luxury is like in the future. Found a good deal on a K 1600GTL 2012 BMW. Looking forward to heading home to my wife tomorrow! God bless and safe journey’s home…

Day 25,26,27 leaving a damp Spearfish Heading 85 south through Spearfish Canyon saw one deer ended up having breakfast in Newcastle with Ken and Friend. Headed down through Casper onto Rocksprings for the night Super 8, Day 26 brought cool temps and no electrics ha! Should have hooked up the Gerbing while I did nothing for two days. Ride down thru Vernal and Flaming Gorge Eventually I came to Saint George for the night at the Marriott, Day 27 Headed to home down the 15 to Barstow then over Big Bear thru Redlands into home. Arrived 2pm no issues except my boots are toast ha treads were flapping in the wind ha!
