June Ride

KBiK is all packed and ready for my June ride starting tomorrow., June 4th

• Heading east, I'll camp on Ocracoke Island on the Outer Banks of Cape Hatteras
• I'll attend the 2023 BMW MOA Annual Rally near Richmond, VA.
• I'll ride down the Shenandoah Skyline and Blue Ridge Parkway to camp at Willvile
• Taking in the "Back of the Dragon", I'll ride across West Virginia to stay in Cincinatti, OH
• I'll attend the LocSTOC event in Spring Green, WI
• It will be a boring ride across to attend the NatSTOC event in Spearfish, SD but I'll enjoy riding in the Black Hills again.
• I'll ride Ten Sleep and Shell Canyon in the Big Horns before staying the night at Burgess Junction. WY
• It will be early going over Beartooth Pass so I expect to see some large snow drifts before riding Chief Joseph into Cody, WY
• A boring ride across Wyoming before I can enjoy WY130 and the views of Brown Peak before camping at Grand Lake, CO
• I'll ride the highest point going over Trail Ridge in Rocky Mountain National Park, and then further south to the top of Mt Evans at over 14,000ft.
• It will take me two days to arrive back home on June 30th.

Two days of riding the slab for just under 1,000 miles has been boring. Thanks for good audio books KBiK and I have made it to Augusta, GA.

Tomorrow should be more interesting as I leave the freeway behind in Wilmington, SC and take the ferry from Cedar Island to Ocracoke. I'll also be camping for the next seven nights.

Good seeing you again at the National, Andy. Always fun hanging with the K16 tent guys a bit. This years National was one of the best I can remember and the weather was perfect. I arrived on Monday to volunteer so was there for 6 days. Also ran into @hondawayne at the rally. Home again now……next ride, Top of the Rockies Rally in July.
