Looky there Raymond (@WØQNX ), it's mid December and you're still in the top 10!
SHUT IT DOWN!!!

Wait a while. I doubt it will go below 28 here. It normally doesn't.

And congrats to drbuzzard on making the ice cold list on his ice cold bike! Did you get any little snowflakes on the digital screen or just blue ear tops under your corn seed cap? (That's my farmer talk, corn seed cap).

I rode in 22 degrees a couple of weeks ago and I think 38 degrees today. It wasn't cold enough to notice. I will start taking pictures just because.

A couple of years ago a friend's heated gear quit working about 2pm and we were 2.5 hours from home. It was an uncomfortable ride for him to say the least and it got my attention. I started researching what they did to stay warm before heated gear and what they do now when heated gear isn't an option. First thing I realized is that activity level makes a huge difference, we are more like WW1 fighter pilots than mountain climbers when we're on bikes. Seems the undisputed first choice is wool and wool blends. I'm messing around with different combinations to see what works best. Will post results as temps get colder.

Back when I was a pup, my mom would make me tie a wool scarf in a knot around my neck to keep the wind out. Back then I also wore a double breasted wool peacoat, wool turtleneck sweater and wool mittens. Best I could do on bottom was Levis and my thighs and knees would feel like ice cubes after a cold ride lol.

my dad worked at a produce warehouse, 75% of the place was one big fridgerator, 15% was a big freezer, and the last 10% was a combo office / hot room with the only heat being a small space heater which wasn't always turned on.. beause of the physical nature of the job you could never work in anything warm so you just got use to being in the cold. if i was there they put me to work also. m i wore a shirt, sweatshirt and a lined windbreaker. Levis and Chuck Taylors plus two pair of socks

36 degrees.

I had not ridden for a few weeks.
I rode 108 miles a few nights ago testing my new RDL. 108 miles is not worthy of a review for now to be in its own thread.
Now I just got caught up on this thread and to my surprise 36 degrees get me on the list unless there are some others riding in cooler temperatures tonight.
The ride started out at 36. Got into Cleveland where it was 46, then back down to 36 degrees as I got out of the city.
Heated jacket liner, R3, light gloves with grip heaters on. Didn’t hook up the seat heat yet but not at all needed starting out from heated garage.

Picture is plenty big if you click on it. 32 degrees and your bike has a cigarette lighter next to the N light!!

Was thinking of riding today... The last day of the year... but it's snowing now. Very lightly but still snowing and cold enough (right at 30F) for traffic to melt it into the pavement and then have it refreeze (how black ice is formed).

Rode today for the 340th day to finish off the year, but the temp is too high to even bother reporting. Did ride in snow flurries 2 days ago though lol.
