Rob invited me on a long day trip to Meers, Oklahoma yesterday.....for a burger http://www.meersstore.com/ and tour of the Wichita Wildlife Refuge http://www.fws.gov/refuges/profiles/index.cfm?id=21670 . It was a bit over 500 miles there and back from the Dallas, Texas area. Conditions on the way North were just about perfect. We left at 8 am from a Starbucks at Bethany Road and N. Central Expressway on an overcast and cooler (73 degrees F) morning. I never saw over 75 degrees F on the trip to Meers. Nice compared to the 100 degree plus days we've seen this past month. The return was a bit warmer (88 to 90) as the sun made it's way through the clouds at about noon.

Here's a few images.....a great day! (sorry no buffalo or longhorn shots, the camera was in the side bag when we were dodging the beasts)

Enjoy

How's the little booger doing? I haven't heard anything from him or Paco in ages.

Rob's fine (the deer accident slowed him down for a while)....and I believe Paco has a VStrom now....and/but riding less, having both kids and work obligations that are plenty important right now!

Nice ride. I went there with a few here on the board at one of the RTEs in Chickasha. What route did you take home? The one I took was quite boring.
