Yes, absolutely... the armor is 1/2 the protection and a crash is not just about road rash... so much is about the initial impact.

Take your armor out.. put your jacket on and have a friend punch you in the arm as hard as he can...
with a 16" crescent wrench...

I wear my armor 95% of the time. What I find surprising is the number of riders without gloves. I have been hit by gravel and insects where you feel the impact through the gloves I am sure it would be less pleasant on unprotected hands.

Yes armor: elbows, shoulders, back, knees, hips at all times.
Definitely wear armor.
My Motoport gear has shin armor, thigh armor and rib protector armor as well as the usual spots listed above.
The shoulder armor goes over my shoulder and along the to to my neck. Saved me from breaking a collarbone when I went off the windshield post.
This is the only gear I've owned with rib protector armor. Prevented some broken ribs.
Plus, being custom fit the armor stays in place where it is supposed to be.
Wouldn't ride without it.

Yessir. Full armor, gloves, FF helmet and riding boots. Always, always, always. Had road rash once while sliding down the highway in jeans/tee shirt/tennis shoes and never again.
