25K and grip would be even nicer. 25K and crisp handling even greater.

They didn't test on the most aggressive platform either, so who knows what to expect. Let alone if it will be in a size we can even try.

No trailer,,but it was a 'glide. Close to the same weight as a wing so maybe something can be taken from their tests. I have to wonder if the increasing attention the Dark Side is getting is driving them to finally find a way to make tires that will last a while.

It's a bias ply too I think..... check the finer print of the "test"...... no mention anywhere that this is a radial;
The exclusive architecture of the MICHELIN Commander II brings both manoeuvrability and stability. The tire’s more rigid, high-density carcass improves manoeuvrability, while the aramid fibre crown ply of the rear tire enhances resistance and lightness for impeccable stability, even at high speeds.
MICHELIN Commander II versus the METZELER ME880 and the DUNLOP D407/D408 in sizes 130/80 B 17 (front) and 180/65 B 16 (rear).

I suspect this is progress in a backward kind of way.....

Michelin is still trying to capture the HD market. The first Commanders were flops. Not very stiff, very flimsy. I would not have run them on my Electra Glide. Tires for a heavy weight bike like that need to be stiffer than the Commander was.

This new Commander II is shooting for the new Road Kings and Electra Glides. They have the same problems as you guys 8 or 9000 miles and the tires are toast. Funny thing is Michelin will not build a tire for the Goldwing but will invest in the HD stuff. The French doesn't think they are a touring tire company.

I have talked to the engineers about this before. Give me a Goldwing tire for the 1800's and I would sell the heck out of it.

These new bias ply tires are going to be interesting. Twice the mileage as the others, heard that before.

I'll let everyone know some feedback whe I start seeing it.

Yeah, but a bias ply just doesn't cut it! I want a tire to handle the twisties when I have a mind to go run some! That's why I went to radials on my V45 & V65 Sabres! Changed the dynamics of the bikes handling a bunch!

BTW Tim, what do you have in a radial that will go on a V45 Sabre... front: 110/90-18 & rear: 130/90-17 (for my son's V45 Sabre)
