You didn't specify a year, but for an '04 ST1300

Pin Bolt P/N: 45131-MZ2-006

Appears to be the same for both ABS and non-ABS calipers

The fiche shows the same part number for the 03 at Ronayers did they just send you the wrong part? Like a pad pin?

So does the 03-04 parts manual

14
PIN, BOLT ..................................................
3 3A -------- -------- AC 1 45131-MZ2-006 4181251

4 4A -------- -------- A 1 45131-MZ2-006 4181251

There are two similarly-named parts on the rear caliper: 45131-MAC-681, listed as "BOLT, PIN" and 45131-MZ2-006, listed as "PIN, BOLT." Somebody at Honda gets the 2011 Award for Obfuscatory Parts Naming Brilliance for that one.

The 'MAC-681 part is a short bolt with a long, un-threaded pin sticking out of the head that screws into the caliper bracket.

The 'MZ2-006 part is just a bolt that screws into the side of the caliper where the pistons are.

Hopefully one of those two is the one you're looking for, if not my head's going to go :nuke1:

Is the caliper retaining bolt the same thing as what STWikii calls "rear caliper stopper bolt" in the rear wheel quick guide? The part number for the stopper bolt is listed as 90158-MZ0-000 there. If I recall from when I recently order it for my next tire replacement, it doesn't show up in the rear caliper section of the parts fiche, but (I think) in the swingarm section.

I would have never looked at the swingarm breakdown for a brake caliper stopper bolt
Me either. I only found it there after doing a part number search with the number from STWiki. None of the bolts in the caliper diagram looked quite right.

Wanted to bump this thread as I realize I got bit by the same thing. Except I bought the "bolt" last year to install the next time I did my rear tire - Today. At the time, I thought it strange they were calling it a pin bolt in the fiche while the svc manual called it the stopper bolt. Shoulda trusted my instinct and checked here first. :nuts1:

Just to reiterate, Steve (Raj_Zin) had it right. The correct p/n is found in the swingarm section.
