Another fabulous OnSTOC is nicely into the planning stage!

A change of time-frame;
June 14-16, 2012.

Since July and August are high time for tourist accommodation, I moved a little outside those months.
The move was needed to get better value. A special rate was negotiated with my friends at Shamrock Lodge.

So, mark it on your calendar or if you don't have one yet for 2012, write it on the wall!
This location is somewhat more comfortable than what we had previously, but not so
upscale as to be prohibitively expensive. It's in a prime location for riding, with little need
to drone along a boring road just to get to good scenery or twisties. You're there already!

And hear this!: Breakfast on site is included! So when you're rubbing the sleep out of your
eyes in the morning, coffee'll be on and someone'll be cookin' up a storm in the kitchen.

I think it's fair to say that if you've got a significant other who generally sits on the fence
with regard to attending, this is the year to come along. It's just a very nice place, with great
staff and owners. And it's NOT a chain.

How much for all this, you ask? ..... Only $80 per person per night, including breakfast! (But based on double occupancy)
And yes, there'll be caveman TV. I'll put aside some wood to dry out. And of course you can
bring beer (or cider ) if you wish.

Please note, the deal is for three nights, ie if you're in an unfortunate situation where you
can only attend for two, sorry,[ it's three night minimum to get the rate I did]. EDIT: That's no longer the case!

I will miss OnSTOC VI.... I am on an FJR group adventure in British Columbia in June and will be taking in a western tour as far south as California and then back up through canyon country...

George - Good job on setting up the accommodations at the Shamrock Lodge on Lake Rosseau, an amazing price for this location in the Muskokas & breakfast included too!

I plan on attending but will miss Ray's singing and ride leadership.

Thanks, Brian. I do believe it'll work out well. The place isn't quite as upscale as their website would have you believe, but it's pretty nice, certainly very comfortable for the likes of us. The location is perfect, and breakfast where and when it's wanted; all good!
But poor Ray! He was an important contributor to past Onstoc's, and few can do the "carry a tune in a bucket" like he can! But maybe we can get Patty to do the sing thing. She certainly understands music. But please, not in French, OK?

It's not a case of "wrong"; it's a case of I don't get it! I recently sat politely by during Italian conversations, and although I enjoyed the wine, pizza, and pasta, I didn't get what was said there either. But perhaps if I could just see your smiling face, I'd understand...
