I replaced my BT023s with these and really like them. They are STill pretty new on my bike so I don't have any mileage feedback but I will tell you that they are wonderful tires so far. Great in the wet.

I've got just over 10K on a rear and, if the wear rate stays the same, it looks to have 1-2K more left. Couldn't get the PR3 for the front at the time so running a "2" up there - it's got at least 4K left in it.

Michelin lists the PR3 as a fitment on the ST1300 but it is a universal tire and not an OEM fitment like the Bridgestone BT020F which is made special for the ST1300.

I got 8800-9000 miles out of two PR2 rears to the wear bars. I ran one PR3 to 8700 and it had 3/32" tread left (2/32 to wear bars and it started with 8/32). It had a slow leak I could not plug or gummy worm. I expect 3s will deliver 10-20% more mileage than PR2s. It is hard to believe but that is my experience. They did not scallop as bad either.

I have them and cannot say enough positive things about them !! I really love these. I have a set of PR3's. They totaly changed everything about the way my bike rides and handles. They hold the road in all conditions very well. I can say that the bike feels much more stable and turns with a grace and ease that is very inspiring.

The PR2's were a very good tire. The PR3's seem to have a bit more grip and they transmit the feeling of grip to the rider.

Tom

BTW, I seem to be changing tires at about 11,500. Both the OEM's and the PR2's. There was probably 1000 left on the Bridgestones and maybe 2000 on the PR2's. The PR2's were cupped and putting vibration in the bike. I don't have enough miles on the PR3's to tell anything yet.

Just fitted new set of PR3 on my ST1300, very good deal from my local bike dealer ?250 a pair, free fitting and balance to loose wheels.
Cos of the poor weather here in north of scotland i haven't been out to try them.
Very good write up on them.

I like what I've read about the PR3...but when I go to the Michelin page and enter the ST1300...I get PR2 suggested? The tire weight codes are the same (59f/72r) ...so whats the deal?

My bike is really loaded when I do big trips. Two up, tailbox, camping gear...for that reason I have mostly stayed w/ the BT020s. Will the PR2 or PR3 handle tht load ok...?

The 2 and 3 carry the same load ratings in published specifications and on the tire sidewall. The same load rating as on the BT020 OEM tire BTW, 72W.

My own opinion is that Michelin wants to continue selling 2s but if you try the 3 you won't buy another 2 so why not list the 2 as ST1300 fitment?

I went out and looked at my OEM type BT020s and the weight code is 72...exactly the same as the PR3s. Sounds like a set of PR3s is in my near future...

I have a bit over 3,000 miles on the PR3s, they seem to behave as well as, if not slightly better than, the PR2s they replaced. I imagine the mileage results will be similar to the mileage of the PR2s, which was a shade over 24,000 miles in 13 months of commuting into NYC. Both the PR2s and the PR3s are a huge improvement over the OEM Bridgestone tires, the handling especially in the wet is excellent, with the tire life greatly improved.
