Here is a good day loop out of Meadows of Dan (Its about 250 miles with lots of curves)



Here is another loop that will take you up to Burkes Garden (Gods Thumbprint) (This loop is about 250 miles, I have not ridden most of this and just picked roads that looked fun on the map)

Can't wait to ride the area again! Even puts Shady Valley, TN on the way there!

After watching "Hatfields and McCoys" on the history channel, I zoomed in on the area and found that the corner between VA, KY and WV to have some amazing roads I've never ridden. I can't wait to get there for CampSToc next year. Might even come a bit early to do even more riding!

I contacted Will and he has put on on the calendar. I do want to point out that if anyone wants to come and not camp that he has one cabin and a bunkhouse that sleeps 5. I would encourage people to make their reservation for the cabin or bunkhouse ASAP if they want to stay with the rest of the group at the campground.

Didn't do many STOC events last year, hoping to change that in 2013.

Here's a ride I've kept in my back pocket since the 09 BMW Rally in Johnson CITY, TN...
its 78 miles from Meadows of Dan to the start in Marion. This has always looked like a SWEET ride..
4 states, 4000 feet peaks (I think)

I may launch from home on Tues after work and get to Harrisburg, PA...maybe hook up with a few Yanks for the trip down south.

That would be an awesome ride... you will not be disappointed with Rt 16.
