Hi Everyone,
I will be picking up my 2001 ST1100 non-ABS on Monday April 16th. This will be my second bike, I currently have a 1992 Nighthawk 750 that I will keep for an around town bike. I've joined this forum to be part of the ST1100 community.

We have identified some major problems with All ST's (1100 and 1300) that you need to be aware of....
#1. They require gas every 300 miles, tires depending on what you mount and how you ride it and fresh oil occasionally.
#2. Farkles get expensive because the dang things are so comfortable you'll be spending all of your free time in the saddle. (which will probably need to be modified or replaced.)
#3. Wide Open Throttle launchs in first and second gear tend to Pull the front tire off of the ground producing huge grins and much laughter from the drivers seat.Passenger reactions vary!(Passengers ARE optional no matter what THEY SAY!)
If you grab a hand full of front brake on this machine expect things to happen RIGHT NOW!!!
I say this alot....But it really is true!
