+1 on the evaporative cooling vest. Mine's an old but tried and true Marsee vest of Hydroweave fibers, NOT the greasy crystals in tubes type. I've ridden for hours in 115F with one under a mostly zipped up Aerostich Roadcrafter 2pc. Bill and I used our vests twice on our recent WeSTOC trip. Allowed us to cover the miles we needed to cover in relative comfort, AND SAFETY. Mesh gear and a wet T shirt just don't cut it for serious traveling in high heat. TruST me. Invest in the proper gear.

I carry my vest charged in double bagged 2 gal ziplocks inside the left saddlebag lid. Hydration is by Garauld TechWorks jug carrier on the right passenger foot peg. Filled with water and ice before morning departure. Another tried and true product. Worth every penny.
