Pan gathering 2013

The annual Pan Gathering is in Aix-les-Bains in France next august.I will do my best to attend this year,as Steve (0001198) said,"even if I have to carry the bike".One question for the time being,is it strictly for Pans?A friend of mine has a Goldwing trike and would like to come along.

Thanks Mellow,they haven,t much info on the site yet,it,s probably a bit too soon.Was just wondering what was the position in previous years

I think to go to the Pan Gathering you are expected to be a member of the Honda Pan European Owners Club in your respective country. I think to be a member you have to own a Pan (certainly the case in the UK). Members do attend events sometimes not on their Pan for a variety of reasons. Ultimately I don't think it is too actively policed. I would suggest contacting the organisers. They may appreciate the extra support, but may say that a Goldwing Trike is not appropriate to go on the organised ride-outs.

Fearmor, The Pan Gatherings I have been to there were more than just Pan European's that showed up. Several were Pan owners but they rode something else to the gathering for whatever reason. If you are not on a PAN you are not invited to go on the guided rides. This was the only thing I saw that was "restricted". The 2011 Pan Gathering I went for a day trip with part of the french group that attended. One of them was on a Goldwing.

Thanks for the reply Dex,
i sent an email to the organisers and got a reply to say that my friend on the goldwing trike can come along as my guest which is good news.They didn,t mention if he could come along for the ride-outs.we hope to spend 2 weeks before and after the gathering to tour France and maybe travel home through England and Wales.If we come home through England we probably won,t be too far from you,maybe we could meet up?

thanks for the reply JD.I have emailed the organisers about my friends Goldwing and they replied that it won,t be a problem.Will you be coming along this time?
How do you like Naples?I was on a guided tour there in 2003,we went to Pompeii,Capri and to the top of Monte Casino on our way back to Rome.We found the Italian people very friendly and hope to return there some day.

I see registration for the Pan Gathering 2013 are been taken from next friday 23rd novenber
