I assume this rear was new when I bought the ST. It now has 16,616 that I have put on it. I ordered a new one last week!

Wow that is a bunch a miles on that tire. I could only get 5000 to 7000 miles on those tires.

That looks like a BT 020. They were OEM new. That is a lot of miles. Like Mike I only got 6000 miles out of one.

My first set of B023 went 12K. Second is around 3K> I will keep with the 023's until I hear of a much longer lasting tire
( Not counting the dark sider )

Anyone notice that the BT020 in the photo appears to have worn mostly on the right side versus the left?
I'm left handed but I like right curves more than left so I guess I lean a little further to the right? Hadn't noticed that but I think thats why.

BT020 and I average 10K miles per set. F & R tend to wear out at the same time.
+1..Keel Brothers just installed my 4th set of BT020's. I'm not an overly aggressive rider and get 12,000 miles per set. I like the fact that F&R wear out together. I really don't have the riding skills to differentiate the nuances of tires, but the BT020's seem to grip well in wet & dry, have a good service life, and are priced right. Since it ain't broke, no reason to fix it. I'm thinking you made the right decision to stick with the Bridgestones.

Terry

16,628 was the total when I pulled into my mechanic's this AM. He had a manual changer and at 1 point there was 3 people helping to get the 1st bead over the rim LOL!!! He said that BT 023 was the stiffest sidewall he had ever seen. All done now for another 16K+ ? I hope so.

I had 16K+ on my OEM tires. Second set is on now and at 26K still have lots of life in it. Lot of freeway and commuting not so much cornering.

31K miles is the final number so this set was good for 14+K miles . I ordered the BT020F again and will be on the bike sometime tis week or weekend.

My BT020 on the rear has 10K miles on it and has a lot of rubber left. The BT023 on the front is showing wear bars and needs to be changed after 10K.

Also looks like the BT023 rear that I have in the garage, except that mine has a lot more tread on it - hasn't been mounted or seen any duty yet. I would think the OP would know what tire was on his ST, since it is stamped on the part of the tire that doesn't see any wear... I will be delighted to see anything even close to that kind of wear on a rear tire. In 36 years of riding, the most I've gotten out of a rear tire was something less than 10k, and the cord was showing then (shame on me)! Of course, the technology has improved a lot since those old bias-ply tires of the past.
