I don't know which forum to put this in, but I'm sure Joe does. :) I just bought a Sena SMH10 headset and paired by Iphone up to it fine. Works great. I then went to pair my Garmin 550 Zumo (w/XM radio) and the directions say that I have to choose between the Garmin and the phone if I'm using the garmin for streaming audio. To add to the issue I am in the throes of deciding between and Escort and Valentine radar detector (any advice on how to conceal would be appreciated) and want it to come thru the headset as well.

Does this mean that I need an SR10 unit? Or is there a way to make all this work thru the SMH10 I have?

Help!

Hi Bob,

I can't give you specifics as I don't have the same setup, but it's similar. Try this:

Clear all existing pairings between the phone and the headset.

Pair the headset to the Garmin using the Audio option (not the phone option).
Pair the phone to the Garmin using the Phone option.
As far as the radar detector, no clue there...

Basically in order to do this I need to use the Garmin as the catch all for everything, and use it to send to the helmet.

Hope this helps you!

You might give this a try.
http://www.amazon.ca/Belkin-RockStar-3-5-mm-Headphone-Splitter/dp/B0017PG8KS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1351906120&sr=8-1
Connect your Gamin (via cable) and your radar detector to this. Then plug in one of these
http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Wireless-Bluetooth-A2DP-3-5mm-Stereo-HiFi-Audio-Dongle-Adapter-Transmitter-/181010338615?pt=US_USB_Bluetooth_Adapters_Dongles&hash=item2a250e9337

into the rock star as well. Pair the dongle with the Sena.
Pair your phone directly with the Sena and you will receive everything through your headset.

I use the SR10 as a go between and it works well. The SR10 gives you the ability to connect a FRS/GMRS or CB also.

The Garmin Zumo 550 bluetooth will not broadcast the XM radio or stereo MP3. The only way to do this is by using a bluetooth dongle on the 3.5mm stereo output on the Zumo. You can use an SR10 or UClear WT300 hub to connect to the Zumo as well.

I pair my phone and connect the 3.5mm output to a UClear WT300 hub. This way I can use two headsets paired together and also listen to my XM radio and GPS directions.

The escort and valentines do not bluetooth either. So you have to run a wire from the headphones jack of either to the SR10 and another cord from the Zumo, then pair the SR10 and pair the iphone to the sena headset? is that right? Can you hardwire power to the SR10?

When using the SR10 you might need to pair the iPhone with the SR10, the SR10 then pairs to the SMH10. Radar detector and Zumo go to the SR10 via 3.5mm cables.

The SR10 can be powered via the micro USB plug attached to a power source. Off the top of my head I'm not sure if it 5v or 12v.
