Hi!
I am a danish dane from Denmark who like this forum verry much.
I have a little problem with this Combikit from Hyperpro.
There are "only" one liter SAE 7,5 oil with it, and they write, that the oil lever is 160 mm from top! With ? liter in each fork leg the level says 185 mm?
I had som SAE 10 oil so I used a little of that to get to 160 mm.
I have asked Hyperpro about it, and they say, that I haven?t get the leg enouth down, but I am quit sure, that the legs were "dawn".
The manual says 638 mm to get a oil level at 62 mm from the top.
Have I made a mistake?
It is a STX1300 from 2003.
Sorry about my English..

I just finished exactly the same set-up you are doing.
I had a little oil left over.
I would have to say that you are not measuring correctly.
The fork needs to be fully bottomed. The inner tube has to be down as far as it will go.
The springs out of the forks. Do not put them in yet. as you fill the shock with oil pull up and push down on the rod as to "prime" the suspension.
Use a length of hose with a mark on it at 160 mm connected to a syringe. You can over fill then suck out what is extra. Simply draw the syringe until it stops sucking oil.

I have found out of what was wrong.
There has not been 1 liter oil in the bottle!!
This winter I through the old oil out, bought 1 liter new oil and this time there were a little too much oil..
That?s it..
