I bought a pair of SAND pants last year to wear for long trips. They are sized to wear alone (not as overpants) but I find them very comfy. The liners (1 waterproofing membrane and 1 insulating quilted type liner) each zip in at the waist and legs and this makes for a nice fit especially if you slide the pant leg down over your boots. Be sure to check Revit's website for sizing info and how to measure yourself up. For just a short ride I still use Joe Rocket overpants as they are just plain easier. I don't have any experience with the Turbine pant but I think they are the mesh version. I have found the quality to be much better than average with Revit stuff also. :)

the turbine is mesh with a removable waterproofing liner, nice for summer (got mine a couple of years back), the sand is more for year round riding, with the waterproof & thermal liners.
I only use the turbine in the neverlands during the hottest weeks of the summer (and when I'm in NC during summer).
