So I bought a (2013) ABS controller, Cop Speedo, right controls and rear shock, all with 409 miles on them off ebay yesterday. I should get them next week or so.

My new fork tubes and lower case came in also, so I will put those on this bike, once I get them rebuilt. I'll take the forks off the 2010 and put them on the new '04.

The 2010 is turning newer and newer all the time! :D

Bob, What ever happened to that Chinese Tupperware that you bought. Did you ever install it? Sent it back? Did it match in color. Did it ever fit correctly?

Boxed up in my garage...
no
Too expensive to send back...
not really
never tried

But, I might be using it on this new '04, the two large fairing pieces that is, if I don't find some good black ones!

I'd really like to know how those turn out. My 04 was wrecked before I got 45K miles ago. But the 2 big pieces have some broken tabs and cracks around mirror.

On Saturday and with a lot of help from Byron, we were able to rebuild both sets of forks. So the new tubes and lower cases went on the 2010 and I have the lower part of that bike back together, although I'm waiting for new intrument cases before buttoning up the upper cowl. The other forks are setting in the new '04.

I pick up the lock set from that wrecked ebay cop bike today from UPS, but I have to get busy this week on the new '04, and get it back on the road.

I got around to mounting the new cop speedo on the 2010.

The bike now only has 409 miles! :hat3:

I figure the bike has about 20K on it, since I put on 18,500 and it came with a guestimated 1,500 miles, so I figure to make it easy, it now has 20409 miles! :D

CopSpeedo-409Miles-noABS.jpg

Also, note in the picture that it is running and the ABS light is out!:toot1::toot1:

Update and for the record:

2012 Bought new (16 miles) in 08/2015; currently has 8,600+ miles, after a 4,800 mile Summer 2016 trip!
2010 (This thread was all about... ) currently has 41,213 miles on the Cop speedo installed back in July 2014. Total of 60,354 miles
2004 #1 - put about 37,000 miles on it, it's been sitting for over two years waiting for a waterpump
2004 #2 - put about 20,000 miles on it, it's been sitting since February 2016, waiting for a waterpump.
You should have asked Santa for two water pumps for Christmas....!:bow1:

Who would ever want more than one ST ????? :) Silly Honda owners.......

Actually, Santa is bringing me something better that two water pumps! A shed out back so I have some place to work on my bikes! :D

Besides, somewhere's in all my parts, I have an installed new waterpump in a 2008-2012 front cover, ready to go (picked off ebay over a year ago) and I have the seals and bearings for the other waterpump, I just need someplace to be able to work on my bikes now! (I lost my garage space when the wife decided her car belonged in it, instead of all my motorcycles and parts! :(

Out in the shed, sits the 2010 with my continued slipping clutch issue:

After replacing the clutch slave with no joy, I have decided to go ahead and just buy all new clutch plates! I found the "used" clutch in my parts bin, measured them, they are all within specs, but I plan on putting a lot more miles on this bike and really don't want to have to replace the clutch again, anytime soon!

So, once the parts get here, I'll start the process of replacing them all. In the meantime, I'm going to use my son's 6ton press and play with a busted up front cover so I can practice replacing the waterpump! :D

Actually, I would just rather have all four bikes running tiptop and not have to deal with it all...but as long as I commute, I don't have much choice but to work on them, until I do have them running tiptop! ;)

Last weekend I was able to get the 2010 mostly back together.

I need to clean the tipover bar covers, saddlebags and topcase, then take it out for a test run to make sure everything is good on it!

Also, here's a picture of one of a toasted clutch friction plate! You can see the others below it.

I'll continue to ride the 2012, hole BrokenFairing-01-19-2018-s.jpg and all for the next week! :eek:4:
