I need new tires for my ST1100, Decided on Michelins P3s I have read the posts on these and am thinking the shorter 170/60/17 for the rear will be good for my shorter inseam. ( I have a metal fab shop so shortning the stands is not an issue) Should I consider 110/70/18 or a 120/70/18 for the front to also lower the front a bit? Has anyone done the larger (120) tire on the front?

Contact George here on this forum and he can tell you works the best as he has run every combo out there for the 1100.

120 should work fine on the front of standard. It is the correct size for the ABSII and a ABSII rim will fit on a standard front end with plenty of clearance. The 170 will work except the bike will sit a little straighter up on the sidestand and will be a little harder to get up on the centerstand. I plan on trying PR3s as my next tire of choice on my ST1100s.
