I'm still running the ST1100 and just recently mounted a Bridgestone Battlax T30 120/70 ZR18 GT SPEC 59W on the front of the bike. I like it. Handling is superb and it is much quieter than the O23 it replaced.
My question is about the T30 for the rear of the ST1100. I'd like to mount the GT spec, but I think it only comes in a wider tire than the ST1100 specifies: 170/60ZR17 GT. Will the wider 170/60 mount the ST1100? It calls for 160/70.

Thanks

Rav

Just to report on the T30's, I think they are a brilliant tyre, they heat up quick, the grip is fantastic, they seem to have stiffer sidewalls anyway the bike feels more comfortable if that makes sense. The GT front should last longer,we'll see.
Ditto and double ditto... Have them on for a couple thousand miles now and they really do seem to be a stellar fit for the ST1300. Stiff wall makes the handle bumps better, turn in is so pleasant and confidant inspiring, rode in some good down pours and excellent handling of the rain. I am really aggressive in the twisties and love the way they take them. No head shake at all and quieter then the others. I would say, if not the best , at least one of the best tires out there for the ST. Previous tires, Avons, Michelin P3's, Metzler Z6 and Z6 Interact.

Oh, forgot to mention...Price is GREAT!

Only thing left is to see how they wear over time.

I thought I'd resurrect this thread in case anyone has any updates or advice on a new front tire for my 2004 ST1300. I'm going to buy a new front tire and it looks like the Bridgestone 023GT and the newer T30GT are both liked by riders here.

After shopping around the T30GT is about $10 more than the 023GT. Any updates from riders out there since the last post?

Thanks for your time and advice.

Best regards,

Steve
