Just 5 pcs of plastic on the bike and they are pretty easy to get to... you could buy the Red stuff and sell the White stuff... If this is a true Candy Red then I might consider it.. I like the 2013 Metallic Blue as well..
Of course if I did do that I'd just drop the bike 2 days after I made the switch.. LOL Maybe Orange ain't so bad..

That's as close to "perty" as I've ever seen a VStrom! Like it.
She is perty...... got me thinking about the '06 I once had, fun bike and it had a bigger gas tank back then. They had a nice dark red metallic back then (DL1000 I think), which seemed pretty classy. Oh well.... I'm liking the updated blacked out frame, side covers, front side rad trim, etc.... I think that was all from '12 but I haven't looked at them til now. Hmmmm. Maybe I need to go shopping..... one can't have too many bikes, can one?
Just a memory now..... back when I had my '06 Wee, I decided I wanted a bike with fairings........ these were available for both the Wee and the BigStrom at one time...... never got them, because my buddy hooked me on the ST.....

Wow, those are very cool...
I think you can still get those fairing lowers,probably for the new Glee too, read about it on a vstrom forum,seen a 1000 strom for sale in Ireland recently with the fairing lowers,

hmmm..well, maybe it looks better on the older VStroms... could be the fender hugger is just a bit too much... maybe with crash bars it would look better

Lots of reasons, a nice light and affordable bike that has a lot of capability.. I never meant to take my ST off road but there were a few times I had no choice.. I guess I'm just a poser.. I doubt they'll get them 'til 1st qtr 2014... probably towards the end of March if that early.. Call your dealer to see if they'll even allow you to pre-order yet. They may even give you a deal on the metallic blue 2013 models - although, the 2014s are $50 more.... Ugh!.. LOL
I've been known to buy a leftover or 2. Save alot of money that way but that is one of the prettiest Stroms to date to me.
