installing gear position indicator where is speed sensor plug located?

My 2003 is very new to me...without ripping everything apart.. can someone steer me to where the speed sensor plug is located?

It's located on the rearcase near the bottom of the case on the rightside.

There are detailed instructions posted from a thread intitled "ST1300 Vehicle Speed Sensor Replacement". If you do an advanced search for that you should find what you need. You'll have to take the plastic off to get to it. It's a little tough to get there, the pictures from the thread should help.

For future reference, in case anyone else comes looking for the speedsensor connector, here is a picture of it. This is not my picture, it has been excerpted from forum member P.D. Fruth's excellent illustrated instructions that explain how to install a home-made gear position indicator, which can be found at post #4 of the discussion of that subject. The photo of the speedsensor (reproduced below) is on page 25 of the set of PDF instructions contained in post #4, in the 3rd of the 4 PDFs there.
