Has anyone ever tried BikeMaster brake pads on an ST1100? The price is lower than most others I have found. Just curious if lower price means lower quality, performance, etc. Also, if not, what replacement pads seem to be the most popular? Thanks.

If you buy harder pads, read 'lifetime', you'll be replacing rotors not pads.
If you buy softer than OEM you'll be replacing the pads more often.

The consensus is (and has been since the mid '90s) that OEM last and don't damage the rotors.

YMMV of course! :D

You can't go wrong with OEM, but the EBC HH sintered work very well too and cost less.

The OEM pads are HH friction rating, I'd bet anything the cheap ones you're looking at are GG rated (lower friction, stopping power). You won't like them and will end up paying twice instead of once. Unless you can positively verify the friction compound is HH, don't buy them, regardless of brand.

+1...
The OEM combination of pads and rotors is also not prone to heat related fading... I'm often amazed how their literally unimpressed by the repeating abuse on downhill stretches...
