There are 4 small screws that hold the base onto the part that rotates simply remove them and you can drill a hole to mount a Ram ball onto I used a female 1/4 20 ram ball. Works great and there is a screw that holds the phone case to the mount it is very secure. I simply cut of the rubber bicycle handle bar mount it works great and allows me to plug the phone in to keep it charged for long trips.

I also have the x mount. I got the ram ball cover from Motorcycle larry that replaces the clutch reservoir. works great.
I just bought a weatherprrof box called a Phoneshield for my Galaxy S4. I don't know yet how good it is, but I wanted something that would operate in all the weather I ride in...
