As far as learning long ago, I guess I am still spoiled by Two Brothers. Just called 'em up and they took care of it. That said, I got good service from Revzilla on the tires I ordered. Ordered them on Tuesday night and they were on my doorstep Thursday afternoon. (No PR's- but one that showed "in stock")

I called Two Brothers yesterday and they asked where I was calling from and once I told them they said they don't ship tires any longer. I found about them from this site otherwise I never would have known about them and at this point it is moot (edit***** I may have been looking at the wrong Two Brothers, as I found another site called two brothers racing just now) when I searched for two brothers tires yesterday I found a place that is run by one of the sponsors here named Keel brothers and they don't ship any longer. what is the name of the place you found?

Sorry, I did not mean to send you on a wild goose chase. I was reminiscing.

The old place was called Two Brother's Tires. As I recall, they changed its name to Keel brothers because of a possible conflict with Two Brothers Racing - an exhaust specialist if I am not mistaken. In any event due to circumstances beyond anyone's control, Keel brothers had to call it quits. They don't really exist any longer.

Many of us bought lots of tires and knew the brothers personally. Tim and Ernie are great folks and provided stellar service. Tim Keel still comes to ST events on occasion. To let you know how good they were as a business, they won the sites "VENDOR OF THE YEAR" award for four years in a row.

Great folks whose stellar business is missed.

Thanks PopJack. guess I will buy the local tires as they are in stock and I am taking the wife out on a trip over the upcoming holiday and need fresh rubber. The front still has some tread left as it is only at 11300 now, but will be well over 13k by the time comes to leave.

These seem to be out of stock everywhere again. I've tried Bike Bandit, Revzilla, Motorcycle Superstore, motosport.com. Oh well, guess putting another 020, or maybe I'll go ME 880.

http://www.jakewilson.com/p/3791/46554/Michelin-Pilot-Road-4-GT-Radial-Front-Motorcycle-Tire they say Sep 19 for shipment, I have like Jim said the T30 tire and I like it so far.
Rocky mountain ATV says the same thing. I'll need it on before that. I considered the T30, but I haven't seen any end of life reports yet. I'm not terribly aggressive so all of the tires that fit meet my performance needs. So I lean toward longevity. Honestly, so far the 020 has been my best performer on that score, but I've hear a lot of good things about Pilot Roads and the 4s are mostly a change to a harder material (plus siping change to prevent the odd wear)

I just got home from WeSTOC with 7,534 miles on my rear PR4 GT. I'm into the wear bar with just a hint of the center tread left. The tread blocks on the edges are also seriously worn. :( My 2 previous PR3 rears went 7,956 & 9,318. The 9,318 included commuting in Seattle. The 2 PR2s I had before that went 8,536 & 7,421. I think the heat and "spirit" of the riding at WeSTOC seriously eats tires.

Here are my 4GTs at 10,000 miles, which includes a 5500 mile slab trip to the West Coast and 4500 miles of mostly back road riding

That's amazing wear. I can't manage to get much more than 7,000 from a rear tire, no matter who makes it, and my last two Michelin PR3's were toast before then.
