Speedo

After a couple of miles the speedo stops working then a mile or so later its working but inaccurate according to the rev counter..then it settles down: Is this a known fault like bad connections or duff sender....I'm hoping it will go away.

Sounds like your speed sensor is bad and needs replacement.

Did it throw any codes on the Fi light?

Code 11 aka one long one short blink.
-Loose poor contact vss.
-open or short wire/connector
-bad sensor.

There may be a thread on here about a wonky gauge cluster.

I have tried the tests in the Haynes manual and checked for loose connectors ( blown a few fuses ) that took me most of the day removing fairing and other bits and pieces.....Why do they hide connectors under so much gubbins.... haven't tested the bike yet.
