I found this out after putting a new smc in.If I release the front brake while coming to a stop and maintain rear brake pressure the fluid refilling smc causes a small pedal movement on the rear pedal. It is a small amt downward .Is this normal do others with good smc have the same experience or is my proportioning valve messed up! RR

It's not a problem a good bleed of the system in the correct sequence won't get rid of. There is a bit of air in it.

Like dduelin said, sounds like you've got air in your system. No big deal, just do a quick, full system bleed (1hr) and it should be good as new.
PM me if you have any questions.
