I have my right wrist calibrated to 22 ft*lbs; makes it easier to install the drain plug.

Putting a chisel on any steel bolt that is stuck in cast aluminum is a bad idea. Aluminum breaks and then you are in deep do do. I would do the sockets from Sears or easy outs or reverse drills first.
