The winter gods finally relented and I was able to bring my new 2014 Trophy SE home on friday. Way to early to say much about it but I will follow up with a ride report in a while.

One thing that I did notice yesterday was that the wind protection is amazing. Riding at 5 degrees C I did not feel the wind or cold at all. May pay for that next summer but this year I am not sure if we will ever see that here.

That looks to be very satisfying! A great blend of comfort, airflow management, and performance. A beautiful machine - style and substance. I want one!!!:D

That is a real nice looking machine, it also appears that you have lost a few pounds. Congrats on the new bike. I had my ST out on Thursday for 100km, first ride this year. Enjoy!

I took a look at these bikes yesterday at the dealer and they are very nice. The two they had were 2013 one silver and one blue. Did they have any good deals on these are they sticking to the MSRP??

They did not move much on the MSRP. Limited amount of machines and more interest than they can supply. Did OK on accessories though.

BMW and Triumph dealers tend to stay at MSRP. Initially I negotiated with these dealers expecting the same price reductions as the Japanese dealers offer. Once I realized the differences between the European and Asian makes, I stayed patient, monitored the area inventory, developed a relationship with the dealers, and eventually purchased a loaded, very low mileage 2013 BMW K1600 GT in excellent condition for many thousands less than a brand new bike. Searching for leftover models in the Fall may motivate the dealer to move on pricing. Learn the market and stay patient were the lessons I learned during the process.
