Wind deflector quesion

I have the wide defectors on the bike (full set) and am wondering if this has any impact of MPG. Anybody know??

I would think they make it better, less of your body blocking the wind and causing resistance!

I have them on my '04 and sitting in a box , ready to go on my 2010.

+1 - You can feel the difference behind the deflectors, they should make an improvement in wind resistance.
There are so many other factors involved that would affect MPG, I would concentrate on the riding advantages.
If you find yourself in a days ride in cold, wet weather, the advantage of the deflectors for that one instance alone would out-weigh any cost involved for the life of the bike.
