blueSTormer and Bones have butts of IRON after completing a Moonshine SS1k, along with veteran Iron Butt riders SteveST1300 and rulbe. Wilbraham MA to Casey IL (via Effingham), 1060 miles in 18 hours. Thanks, guys, for your advice, support and companionship.

Down to 26 degrees during predawn hours in NY and PA, constant gusting cross winds in OH and IN, up to 82 degrees in IL. A well-planned and executed ride, guys!

Thanks to the Lovely Mrs Bones and our beautiful and brainy daughter for helping our foursome prep for a midnight departure.

Two thumbs up on my Spencerized seat with the LD mod...no saddle soreness!

And Fred, your suggestion of chewing gum as a way to maintain focus was spot on.
