Cree LED Headlight Bulbs on MY 2004 ST1100 - What a difference!

Ignore the part about "for ST1300s". It's not needed for ST1300s and adds nothing positive.

The same headlight bulbs fit both the 1100 and 1300, I am just trying to find out if the newer LED bulbs for bikes are better then before. I know they have made big strides in the automotive setting.

I have LED's in both of them, and love the difference it makes.
Next step is clear indicator lenses, and LED running lights/directional indicators.

Never mind, I see it. You grind for the flat spot on the original?

Hey guys I'm a little confused. The original bulb casts light both up and down through the housing with one of the filaments blocked in one direction. My led kit arrived and I was surprised to see it cast light only in one direction. See pics. Is this going to work? Is yours like this too or should I wrap it up and resell? I've got an 1100 and once I take the tabs off it will be unsellable, so I need to know before I install. Thanks
