Got 15,300 miles on the rear Evo-GT..........still running the front. Russ.
NO way. Could you have missed a rear tire change? I could imagine about half of that mileage...
5000 mi is nearly a miracle on these tires if you ride at all like you should on a motorcycle.

Separate Topic, but I see a lot is people saying their tires "wear faster at the end/near/past the wear bars"... They actually wear pretty evenly their entire life (if anything the wear slows down a bit with more contact area once you have a slabbing flat spot).
Like the size of the moon on the horizon, you notice the wear more when it's getting close to gone because there is an easy reference.

That is over 2.5 times the life I have gotten out of mine based on average. Questionable.

I have gone through a few sets of the T30 GT's on my ST1300. Two fronts and three rears. Front Mileage 8305 & 8698, they were to the wear bars and that is it. The rears 6114, 6587 & 5030, again these were at the wear bars. Now the 4th rear the Evo model I might get 6000 miles out of it. My wife on the other hand got a hair over 9100 on her VFR800. But it is 200 lbs lighter.

What ? Strewth ! Did you ever ride the BT020 F rated (OEM tyre) or the T30GT (before the Evo came out) - to compare the mileage. I'll tell you why - I get just 5,000 miles out of the rear BT020 F tyre. We are usually fully loaded and on the weight limit of the bike. We have rough tar and chipping roads here in Yorkshire.
I got an estimated 4,500 out of the rear T30GT - the front lasted another 5000 miles. The rear was an estimate as I had to replace it at 3,800 as we approached the start of a long 3000 mile trip.

If the EVO's are anything like the BT023 GT's, I'll see that mileage also. Think our road materials differs from yours maybe.

Here's my notes that date back to 2012.

New BT023 GT Tires at 62,000 Km's in July 2012

New BT023 GT Tires at 92,000 Km's = 30,000 Km's or 18,641 miles put on the old tires

New BT023 GT Tires in 2015 at 116,500 Kms 92,000 Km's to 116,500 Km's. (15,250 miles = 24,500 Km's

New T-30 Rear Tire in Jan 2017 at 136,500 Km's 20,000 Km's 12,500 miles on the rear BT023 GT

Front BT023 GT still on at 140,000 Km's, that's 15,000 miles on it and it still looks ok.

Bought my 06 new in 2008. Closing in on 160,000 miles. Have run BTO 20's, Shinko Verge 011's, PR 2's and PR 3's, Shinko Ravens, and the Evo GT's. Always got between 15,000 to 16,500 miles except on the PR 3 (flat tire destroyed itself before I got stopped) and a Raven. (Plugged it twice in 1000 miles......2cd hole was 1/2 inch away from the 1st........didn't trust it so I changed it.) Ride 91 miles round trip to work so I will wear the tires past the wear bars. (But not to the cords.) I am not an aggressive rider:D . Also get great gas mileage (50+ most of the time) and brake pad wear(32,000 rear/ 64,000 fronts). Russ.

I didn't believe getting that kind of mileage was possible on any tire either. However, I just came off of an 8000 mile trip and my tires look like they'll go another 5,000 miles. Our trip was a combination of quite a lot of twisties in AZ NM WY SD and in the east, GA TN and NC, lots of freeway riding at elevated speeds in between. The weather ranged from cold and rainy to hot and humid.

I was running new Dunlop Roadsmart 3's on my GSX1250FA, and my friend Corey was running new T30's on his ST1300. Both sets of tires look almost new after the trip. Needless to say we're both very happy with our respective tires.

I got about 7,500km (about 4,650 miles) on last set of T30's and the T30 EVO's I'm running now look like they will have about the same life. I wonder if western roads are less hard on tires??

Western roads are typically a lot harder on tires, with the rough surfaces and hot temperatures. That's why I was pretty surprised to get such good mileage out of them.

A lot of our trip was in the east, in cool temperatures and rainy conditions, so I'm sure that contributed to the extended wear.

got 11k+ and 13k+ out of sets of previous Michelin PR2s, then only 8700 out of the T30 GT rear. Front is still going 2k miles later. Back to Michelin we go.....

Last 2 rear T30 GT only 5500 miles on tires the sides our toast. Centers at wear bars. Waiting on a rear Dunlap road smart III. On, can get the new series 5 from Michelin.
Give me 020 any day. I believe they made Dual compound to soft on the side of T30 tires, just don't hold up.
I have both rear tires can post to prove wear.
