I ordered a Michelin Road 4 GT tire 120/70 zr 18 tire from bike bandit.com. The first tire I received had a bar code label molded into the bead of the tire. So I sent it back and reordered a replacement tire along with a new back tire in the Michelin Road 4 GT. Both have bar code labels molded into the bead of the tire. I am pulling my hair out. I don't think the bead will seal with that label in the bead. Any body seen this?

Yea ... they're like that ... the two PR3s I installed on the CBR are like that and if I'm not mistaken, the Angel GTs I installed recently on the ST

Edit: some people will claim the barcode is the balance mark.
Michelin states it is not.

It's the only place on a tyre that kind of label will stick...... the bead is smooth and clean, usually......

No good of course for the tyre engineer or tech guy following tyre performance and needing the serial number of the tyre.... DAMHIK.

I mounted a Michelin Pilot Power on the NC700 last week and the label was in the same place. I never thought about the bar code label not sealing.
