What to select for rear suspension setup?

According the Manual, the spring preload for "one + cargo" is 3.
In my case, one (240lbs) + cargo (daily commuting) is really 3, correct?

Heh heh... I think Honda's "standard rider" is 150 lbs.

Try 3 at first and see how you like it. Then 4 for comparison. Depending on your ST's shock's age and mileage (and useage), you may need to crank up the preload anyway. Assume OEM shock.
