Just turned over 1000 miles on a brand new 2012 ST1300. Honda build a lot of them in the last year of production and if you really want a new one talk to your local Honda dealer. There were at least 11 left in warehouses in the US when mine was delivered.

Be Safe.

I got an irresistibly excellent price but I have a great relationship with the local dealer--it never hurts to ask.

Some dealers would likely do you real good if they have delt with you before. I am sure that the guy who sold me my 03 would give me a good deal but he retired about five years ago.

You do realize that they are still "making" the ST1300. You just can't get them in the US!
The ones stacked up in warehouses are the reason why they don't import them some years. Nothing we haven't seen before, but it always triggers dire predictions of the death of the model.

My dealer has a 2012 ABS for $12,900
At least that is a bit more reasonable. If that dealer would move a bit and let it go for under 12k it would be pretty fair. Back in the spring of '11 when I bought mine used a couple dealers offered up new '10s for under $11k. Keep in mind that "new" '12 will be considered 3 years old as soon as you leave the showroom ('15s about to hit) so there will be a huge drop in value- both resale and insurance replacement if you had an accident.
