Since getting the 2010 ST1300 back on the road over a year ago, the ABS light was always solid and I couldn't get it to reset or anything. When I took the bike into the dealer to have the rear brake recall done, they replaced the front sensor, but couldn't resolve the constant light without requiring me to purchase a new ABS controller for around $1000. And that might or might not fix it, and even if it did, when they pull the old one apart, they might find that it failed due to the crash and I would be out the $1,000 anyway!

Well, over the last couple of weeks there was an 2008-2012 ABS controller with only 409 miles on it on ebay and after talking to the seller, I was able to get him down to $260. I got the part last Monday and finally rode the 2010 yesterday, while meeting Byron for breakfast and saw that the light was off! :hat3:

So, my ABS problem has been resolved!

Very cool indeed. It must feel like a weight has been lifted from your shoulders.
Maybe a light weight...;)

The light bugged me more than anything. My '05 and '04 aren't ABS, so it wasn't like I was missing something, I just don't like something not working! :(

My biggest worry was if that didn't fix it, what was the issue? I'm glad it is resolved! :hat3:

Very good. Glad you were able to find one elsewhere for a lot less $$.
