Any quick fix replacement/recommendation for the "CLIP" #19 on the fische?

I'm getting the GLOSSY Honda plastic piece, but I do not have the #19 CLIP - http://www.ronayers.com/WIND-SCREEN-C198516.aspx



Anyone know of a simple replacement, something I might get at a ACE hardware store? The #19 clip alone from Ronayers wouldnt make sense as a purchase.

If you have a word of advice for a willing-to-experiment newbie, it'd be much humbly appreciated, thank you!

Stop by any auto body shop and ask them for a clip. Most have or know where to find a clip like that.

I shortened a 5mm truss screw (common all over the ST) and installed a 5mm nut-clip, instead of the cheesy plastic/one-time-use plug/clip. Much more secure. FWIW YMMV

Must be those barn-door sized screens over there, I always rip my fingernails off while removing mine, as it sits like being concreted in...
And since I often break the head off while attempting to remove, I hoard a number of them in the drawer...

Anyway: P/N 90651-MT3-000, CLIP *A (another genuine ST1100 part ;-) )

Its also used to hold that spacer on the inboard side of the rear-view mirrors, so in total every ST1100 has 3 of them...

Thank you for the suggestions! Looks like I might have an extra 5MM truss screw part which I should try to use in this slot. Otherwise, I'll hit the nearby auto body store to dig up a clip (maybe a Honda part...used in cars??)

The 5mm nut-clip is also used on the ST1100. Look at the cowl fiche.
