Well, looks like I'm grounded for a while. I now have a 'serious' (as intoned by my ortho) case of acute tendonitis in my right ankle. Nothing was broken or cracked and for that I am thankful. But I do get to wear this funny looking boot for 4 weeks that is a bit unsuitable for riding. At least I got to ride Saturday up to John Conner's welcome. Ah, another Uncle Phil orthopedic adventure ...:hurt1:

Good luck with your recovery. "itis" problems for me have never gone away, they just lurk around to spoil the good riding days. I hope you have better results.

Could it be related to those Uncle Phil bear hugs? I get lifted off the ground every time!

Good vibes heading your way, UP.

Now that doesn't sound like any fun. Trust you'll be up and running, good as new, in no time at all.

Tendonitis can be very painful did they give you any type of therapy/exercises for it?
No, I'm supposed to stay off it as much as possible, ice it and behave myself. The first two ain't too bad but that last one is a real killer ... :D I have really flat feet (wear medical inserts) so I have go back and get the inserts 'refreshed'. I'm just hoping to stay out of the operating room on this one.

Sorry to hear this Phil.... it is amazing though as I never hear of anyone getting an ugly tendonitis......

Hope it heals well with rest and treatment and you don't need another bionic implant....

It's as well you know THE great physician.
